The Services portfolio was created to address gaps in the ESS regarding student wellness, mentorship opportunities and academic support. If ever unsure about the objective of the Services portfolio, think about it from the perspective of the engineering student – beyond the realm of the Geer Store and its staplers, what kind of programs and services can we offer to students each and everyday? While the ESS traditionally has run famous events (e.g. Geer Week, Head Shave), operated and provided students with essential products/space (e.g. Geer Store, lockers, through Internal) and hosts many professional development opportunities (e.g. Career Fair, conferences), Services is intended to improve and address different facets of student life.
