One of the new services that the mentorship portfolio offers is the mentorship program. The mentorship program is a one-on-one guidance opportunity for younger Engineering students as they are paired up with Senior Engineering Mentors. These mentors learn valuable leadership skills in the process while telling younger students all about what the former wished someone had told them. We also seek to expose both mentors, mentees and also the wider engineering student community to the industry and various other academic issues by hosting professional development sessions that are including but not limited to the Engineering Alumni Panel, the Dean’s Vacation Students’ Panel, Diversity in Engineering, etc. The program is fairly new, going into its second year now. It therefore has a fresh perscpective and ideas and has plenty of room to grow and improve, while serving the Engineering Students.
