On December 2, 2011, engineering students, staff, friends and alumni will once again get together to lose some hair and raise money for a good cause. At the annual Engineering Head Shave, funds will be raised to help support the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

This year, our goal is to to raise over $25,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!

• In 2010, over $30,000 was raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation putting the running total at $200,000!!
• In 2009, over $21,000 was raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!
• In 2008, over $31,000 was raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!
• In 2007, over $52,000 was raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!
• In 2006, over 60 students and staff gathered to raise over $32,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!
• In 2005, nearly 60 students and staff gathered to raise over $26,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!
• In 2004, nearly 50 students and staff gathered to raise over $13,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation!

As part of the Engineering Head Shave, the ESS hosts the Engineering Hair Dye, a popular fundraiser where participants will dye their hair a different colour a week before the head shave based on the amount of money raised!

In 2009, participants dyed their hair hot pink. Keep your eyes peeled to see what crazy colour participants will be dying their hair this year!
