Hair Dye
A precursor to the Engineering Head Shave, the Engineering Hair Dye helps raise funds and awareness for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
In the weeks leading up to the Head Shave, volunteers and participants raise money through classroom announcements and walk-by donations. This year, hairdye takes place on November 24-25, 2011.
- In 2009 & 2010, the participants went bright pink once again.
- In 2008, the participants went green and gold to celebrate the UofA Centennial.
- In 2007, the Engineering Hair Dye raised over $3,200, and the participants went blue.
- In 2006, the Engineering Hair Dye raised over $2,500, and the participants went bright pink.
- In 2005, the Engineering Hair Dye raised over $1,400, and the participants went rainbow.
- In 2004, the Engineering Hair Dye raised over $900, and the participants went pink.
Dye-ing is done by the professionals at Marvel College.
