In February, the Annual Engineering Students’ Society Career Fair is held at the University of Alberta. Companies representing all engineering disciplines will be in attendance, so dress up in your power suits and touch up your resumes in order to find work with some of the best companies in their fields.

When is the Engineering Career Fair?
Company registration for the Engineering Students’ Society Career Fair 2012 will open on November 1st, 2011. The event will take place January 31st and February 1st, 2012, from 9am – 4pm. There will be the option of one or two-day booths. For inquiries please contact our Associate Vice-President Industry Relations, Rifat Kabir, at avp.industry@ess.ualberta.ca.

The 11th Annual Engineering Students’ Society Career Fair will be held on January 31st and February 1st, 2012. The Career Fair officially begins at 0900 and ends at 1600, but the booths are available from 0800 to 1700.

Why should my organization attend the Engineering Career Fair?
The Engineering Career Fair provides companies with one of the best opportunities all year to make a visible presence on campus to engineering students.

How many people visit the Engineering Career Fair?
The Faculty of Engineering has about 4000 undergraduate students and 700 graduate students. Of these, we expect a minimum of 1000 students to pass through. The Engineering Career Fair is held in the Engineering Teaching and Learning Complex, at the heart of the engineering district on campus.

What will be provided to attendees?
Participants at the Engineering Career Fair will provided with a booth, lunch and refreshments. Booths consist of a table (72″ x 32″ in the ETLC Solarium), 2 chairs, standard back and side curtains and electrical power (if required). Other amenities may be provided upon request.

How much is the registration cost?
The standard cost for a booth is $650 for one day and $1300 for two days. For non-profit groups, the cost is $300 per day.

When will we be invoiced?
An invoice will be emailed out once your registration is in.

How can I register?
Registration forms will be available online November 1st. The online form is now available.

How can I create an easy-to-find job posting for students on campus?
To get the process started, create a job posting with the Engineering Employment Centre. Submit it by fax to (780) 492-4366.
